New ending, New beginning

Before my journey starts I don’t have any idea about what will going to happen to me as a SEA Teacher representative. I am just so happy and grateful that I have been given this opportunity to join a the SEA Teacher Program where I will be able to go abroad to learn new culture, practices and also meet people and have a new family from other nationality.

I am so amazed with indonesian people. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, everyone want to talk to me and have some fun time with me specially students from the upper class and also the teachers. Since day one of my journey in indonesia I am just so happy and blessed because I was sent to a school and a community who will accept me and love me unconditionally. I was able to introduce my self in almost all of the class in MI PKP also in boys and girls dorm and outside the school.

I was able to have a new family, a mother, a father, an older brothers and sisters and also younger brothers and sisters. I am just so happy because I was able to have a huge family in indonesia. A family that will never forget me as we all grow old. I will cherish all the memories and all my learning from them. I will promise to them that I will carry all the good things they taught me. Everyone loves me in this journey of mine in Indonesia. Almost everyone make efforts to give something to me, gifts, foods, letters and a lot of memories that I will always remember for my whole life.

I was given the opportunity to meet all the students in each class. From grades 1 to 6 and even in junior and senior high school students and also in preschool. Everyone were just so happy to meet me and wanted me to teach anything to them. I was able to teach song and dance in preschool, teach different lessons from the elementary classes like making ondel-ondel, singing jali-jali, making a windmill or kicir angin and so much more and off course to teach english vocabulary in senior and junior high school students at the dorms.

I will never ever forget my brother Ataya, Alana, Lucky, Cheky, Arkhan, Malikan, Putri, Caska, Bunga, Nurul, Satrio, Kayla, Fyantika, Alika, Aulia, Syafa, Syafira, Rizky, Fikri, Fathan, Ical, Thoriq, Rafly, Rafif, Ibnu, Nauffal, Faza, Noval, Rara, Defani, Rafa, Jichan, Tasya, Alam, Anies, Bakhril, Marzuki, Bu Lia, Bu maya, ms. We also have some fun time going out together with the teachers in MI PKP going out to park and eating in McDonalds also going to mall eat in KFC and watch movie in a cinema. Mama Ismila who gave me 2 big package of milo, a batik dress and a lot of gifts from everyone in MI. I don’t look at the price or how gifts look like what I want to see is their effort and love for me. They loved me and now I became part of their big family in MI. They promise me that they will never ever forget me until they grow old. I am so so happy to hear that and I cry a lot because of their messages for me and all of the memories that I will leave in MI PKP Jakarta Islamic School. I just want to say thank you and I salute the SEAMEO for giving us the opportunity to learn new things and have a new friends and families around Asia or maybe when goes by an opportunity also to go world wide.
